The Subtle Art of the Cowboy Boot

Cowboy boots are a novel accessory that do not get enough play. Obviously, in the Southwest you’ll see plenty of earnest boot wearers, but outside of that they’re either worn ironically or inexplicably with rock ‘n’ roll smugness. A simple but mildly ornate boot such as cowboy boots deserve better. They deserve more respect than a cowboy hat which can only make you look cartoonish unless you are an actually cowboy and definitely more respect than a cowboy belt buckle, but I’m not quite sure where their niche is. I just know that there’s one out there for them. There’s got to be a way to make them look cool without drawing attention to them. There’s subtlety to the boot already, but it just needs a little extra something to break its dogmatic mold. Who knows what that exactly is but I’m gonna keep wearing mine despite living in Ohio.
